News – 2/29/2008

The end of February means a number of things for me…  Of course, it’s leap year, which has given me one last chance to post a late news update before March!  I have officially finished the essay collection I’ve been working on for over a month now, and it's available now! Click on "Books" in my link bar to the left to check it out.  Also, it’s officially six months into the first year of my teaching career.  I’m happy that I’m teaching and also continuing to write and play/record music!

I have LaptopSessions.com to thank for that.  This year, Jim, Jeff, and I have vowed to post a new session each day.  That’s 366 videos by the end of the year!  (Not just 365; we had to pick a leap year…)  As of today, I have ten sessions already recorded and waiting to go, and my list of songs I want to play keeps growing every day. 

I have many more projects that are waiting on the sidelines, too.  My next project, which I’m very excited about, is to finally finish editing my short story/poetry collection.  I worked on it over the summer but never quite finished it.  Now, you can look forward to its release in May!

I’ve also been writing new songs and new poems.  Even though I won’t be working on any new poetry books or albums in the near future, I’ll have plenty to choose from when I eventually do.  I’m looking forward to possibly working on the Fusco & Moore-funkel album, if Jim and I get into the groove and write a few more songs.  For now, he’s working on his new album, Halfway There, and I’m busy with school, so that’ll have to wait a while…
